Special Review: Chanel Lipstick*

Hi cuties!

Here we are again, now in June. The summer is almost here, it is hot outside, the sun is shinning, all is beautiful and colorful!

And talking about color...

Today I thought that I could do a special review of a special present that my boyfriend gave me.
I bring you: the Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick by Chanel!

So, just to get started, this is a limited edition lippie. It is a very smooth and creamy lipstick. I got it  this past March and, since that day, I wore it almost every single day just to test its texture and durability on the lip.

It has a magnet on the top, so you could open it and close it in an easy way, and keep the lipstick safe and without marks.

After all this time, I made my decision about this product: it's a win in some parts but it could bring some problems to several people, depending on the type of texture that you like on the lip.
I'm a matte lippie person, so creamy products like this one, can be a difficult task for me. It slides very well on the lip, so you don't need to be worried with that. It's not like those matte or retro matte lippies from M.A.C. that are very dry on the application and on the lip.
For me, in the summer, those are my favourites because they don't slide off so easy. Creamy products are not recommended for the summer because of the high temperatures - they almost boil!

This is a product that would be definitly one of my winter favourites, specially on the holiday season!
But I got it for this summer because of the color! I fell in love with this color! It is a deep, power, bright pink, almost magenta. I was looking for a bright color to my lips for this time of the year because summer is a very fun and happy season. We all love the bright colors of summer, and neons for parties!

This one is in number 50, called "La Romanesque". I got it at Sephora.
In my opinion it is a luxury product. Not everyone is willing to spend 36 euros (or 36 dollars) to have this baby in the house.

So, that is all for today!
We hope that you all enjoyed this new post.
We love you all so much, and we are sorry for the lack of posts in this past times...

Special Review of the Month*: the NAKED BASICS palette

Hi guys!
So, it's true! We're finally in 2015! We hope you had a wonderful time with all your friends and family. We are so sorry, again, for being away from the blog for more than a month... I know it is not an excuse but the exams and the holidays killed us! But now we are back and we are here to stay! 2015 will be an even better year, we hope!

So, today I thought that it would be nice if I picked one of my recent palettes that I've received and make a review. So that is what I did!

Here I bring you, the NAKED BASICS palette.

I know it's not a new thing on the shelfs but here in Portugal they take a little more time to get it on the display to buy...
So, first, let's talk about the box, the exterior package.
It is a sleek box, in a taupe color which is very chic, in my opinion. The size of the palette is perfect for travel or just to have a quick and simple makeup on the run, in the elevator, in the car... In the back of the box, there's a description of the eyeshadow colors that are inside of the palette, and the list of the ingredients, of course!

The palette has six colors: one shimmer and five totally matte.
The shimmer color is a champagne color and the name is VENUS. I think that is a well known eyeshadow from urban decay, and you can find it in another palettes too. The matte colors are a yellow-toned beige, a pink-toned color, a nude base for the lid, a matte brown and a dark black. The first matte yellow-toned color is FOXY; the pink-toned one is WALK OF SHAME (or W.O.S); the nude is NAKED 2; the brown color is FAINT and finally the black is CRAVE.
These are the perfect colors if you want to create an easy, simple and chic nude eye makeup. They are so easy to aply and the pigmentation is awesome! It is so creamy too!

The size of this palette is also interesting. It is not too small or too big: it's perfect! For me, I'm always travelling and on the run, it's my favourite palette to get on THE GO! It is always in my purse because I can transform my day makeup to a night makeup in the bathroom, with this palette, in 5 minutes! How cool is that?!

Here in Portugal, the palette retails for 27 euros, but when I bought it at Sephora, I used a discount that I had from my birthday and it costed 23 euros. Not bad!
If you are interested in this palette go to Sephora!

So, that is all for today!

One Brand Show!: Chanel

Hi guys!
Hope you're ok and getting ready for Halloween! It's just around the corner!
Todays post is all about a HUGE and CLASSY brand: CHANEL!

CHANEL has been known in the fashion world for ages and more recently started its own makeup brand and perfume lot. Chanel nº5 is a well known perfume since I can remember but now the brand is trying to expand it's perfume collection and became more girly and flirty. It also started to create men perfumes and BLEU by CHANEL, is one of my favourites!
But today, we are getting into Chanel's makeup collection and, in a more specific way, the nail polish collection!

So, let's get started!
Every season Chanel launches new colors for their nail polish collection: some of them are permanent and become part of the official collection, while others are limited edition. I have here to show you two of the colors from the permanent collection and one limited edition, that my boyfriend gave me!

First things first: the FORMULA.
These nail polishes are very temperamental. Yes, if you don't take good care of them or don't show them some extra love, they won't last. They need to be in a dry area, without direct sunlight. They will dry fast and be ruined if they catch any sunlight or stay in the heat. My polishes are in a cool, and dry spot in a drawer, in my room.
In the actual nail, the polish is beautiful and it lasts a lifetime! It runs so smoothly and it is so easy to apply. The finish is shinny and very pretty.

The first nail polish that I'm going to show you is a perfec color for fall and (why not?) for Halloween too. It is a true red! A luscious and warm red colour that will make you the perfect femme fatale! This color is part of the permanent collection.

The name of this luscious color is Dragon, in the number 475.
It costed around 21 euros, in Sephora stores, here in Portugal.

The second nail polish is a very girly and sweet color. It reminds me of candy! It is a ver light and soft pink color, perfect for a pretty and simple look! It could almost be a nude color, but with a much more pink undertone. This is also a color that you can find in the permanent collection of Chanel's nail polishes.

The name of this one is May, in the number 535.
It also cost 21 euros in Sephora.

The last one is a treat! It is a limited edition color and it is gorgeous! I can't discribe this color very well because it is such a different color, but I think that is between a red and a coral pink colour. I know it sounds strange but it is hard to explain :)
It is more red than pink but it has a coral undertone to it that gives it a spark and makes this nail polish a piece of art on your nails. It is my favourite one! And... it was a gift, so, how can I be more lucky? :)

In the foto it appears very pink, but it deffinitly has a more red tone to it.
The name of this gem is Élixir, in the number 589. I don't know the price of it, but I think it is the same or similar to the other ones. You can find it at Sephora stores, but I don't know if they are still selling it.

So, that is all for today!

I hope you are having a nice week, full of wonderful things, and don't forget to check the blog every now and then to see our new posts. Special Review of the Month!

Hi guys!
Today we have a special treat for you! To indulge our chocolate lovers we are here to present you: the CHOCOLATE BAR by TOO FACED!
Yes, we know that is a well known palette of all the makeup gurus and lovers, but this is our version of the Chocolate Bar, our opinion and our review. So, let's get this show on the road! 😉

First things first: the packaging!
As you can see, it's a rectangular box in pink, gold and brown colors. Very sweet and girly. It comes with a how-to guide which gives you directions on how to do three simple eye looks: a day look - 'Milk Chocolate'; a fashion look - 'Semi-sweet'; and a night look - 'Haute Cocoa'. Let us know if you want us to do a tutorial of any of these looks!
The palette is like an authentic chocolate bar! And it smells so good!

The palette is composed by 16 beautiful and sweet colors!
(from left to right)

The first five colors are three matt colors and two shimmery colors:
1*the first is a brown color with some hints of gold, cause it is a shimmer one. It's a medium dark color, and it's name is 'Gilded Ganache'.
2*the second color is a matte color: a vanilla white, excelent choice for a highlighter. A light color but without the shine. The name is 'White Chocolate'.
3*the third color is a matte brown, a very light tone. It's a nice color to contour the crease or the nose. The name is 'Milk Chocolate'.
4*the fourth color is a very glitery dark burgundy color. It's a hard color to play with because it has so much glitter and it is so dark. The name of this bad boy is 'Black Forest Truffle'.
5*and now, the last color of the first line is a very dark and sultry matte brown. It is so dark that is almost black! You can wear it as an eyeliner color or in a smoky eye look. The name is 'Triple Fudge'.

Next, the second line of colors! The next six colors: three shimmery colors and three matte colors.
1*the first is ANOTHER brown color but with an orange undertone. It is almost a skin tone and it can be a good color to contour too. The name is 'Salted Caramel'.
2*the second color is a shimmer version of 'Salted Caramel'. It is a nude color, with an orange undertone too. It is so pretty when the light hits it. The name is 'Marzipan'.
3*the third color is another matte brown in a medium dark color, darker than 'Milk Chocolate' which is in the same line of browns. The name is 'Semi-sweet'.
4*the fourth color in this line of the palette is a refreshing pink! Yes, a pink in the middle of the browns and the taupes! It is a very sweet, light and matte baby pink. It is called 'Strawberry Bon Bon'.
5*the fifth color is a purple, another different pop of color. It has glitter on it, a very beautiful color to wear in a night out look! The name is 'Candied Violet'.
6*last but not least, a shimmery burgundy color, but without glitter! It has more of a metallic finish. It is a light burgundy color and it is one of my favourites in the palette. It is called 'Amaretto'.

Finally, the last line of the palette! It is composed by five colors: 4 shimmery or metallic ones and one matte color.
1*the first one is a metallic brown, in medium light tone. We think that it is the most similar to real chocolate tone. It is called 'Hazelnut'.
2* the second color is a metallic gold color, another pop of color in the middle of all the browns! It is a beautiful and classy color. It is my favourite of ALL the palette. The name is 'Crème Brulee'.
3* the third color is also a brown with a metallic finish, but it has a darker undertone. It is very similar to 'Hazelnut' but not as orange in the undertone. The name is 'Haute Chocolate'.
4*the fourth color is another pop of color: a burgundy but with more of a pink undertone, not as brown as the other burgundys in the palette. It is a matte color, also diferente from the other similar colors. It is called 'Cherry Cordial'.
5*to end our party of colors we have another highlighter color, but it's shimmery. It is more shimmery than 'White Chocolate' and has a pink undertone. It is almost a nude peach color. The name is 'Champagne Truffle'.
So, with this we finish our color show! Wee are going to put some swatches of all the colors down below.

Now, our OPINION: it is a gorgeous palette and if you want a palette that you can wear everyday but also in some special ocasions, like a party, it is the perfect palette for you. The combination of browns, taupes, pinks and some pops of color, make this a palette amazing for creating nude, simple and wearable eye makeup. Just a tip: to bring the colors to their maximum potential, you should always wear an eyeshadow PRIMER. It will make a difference because your eye makeup will last a lot longer!
Conclusion: if you don't have it, you should try it out! It is so easy to use and it is not a palette that you won't wear. It is perfect for those who wear less eye makeup or are starting to play with eyeshadow.

So, this is all for today! We hope you enjoyed it and tell us what you think and what is your favourite color in the palette. Check our Instagram for more news, contact us on Twitter and Facebook, and leave us a comment down below! Also don't forget to check the our blog for more surprises!
